This is the first painting I did on a new site started by Karin Jurick, an American artist. Every week se posts a new photo and invites artists to paint their version of that weeks particular photo. This is a great idea and gives me the chance to paint themes that I would not otherwise do or even think of.

Aloha Deirdre, I just looked over DIDS WORLD. I must say I found most of your work to be quite feminine and ethereal... completely different from this weeks subject matter on DSFDF. I love how you have "Thursday Group Sessions" and your Nguni paintings are Absolutely Gorgeous!

Thanks for the nice comments. I love the DSFDF, as you also commented on your blog, it pushes one to paint what you won't normally do. I love it. I will keep an eye on your blog as I love your paintings. The bold colours are stunning. Happy painting :)
